Katy Perry claims that despite being the subject of a viral moment, her eyes are healthy.
The 38-year-old "Roar" singer noticed a noticeable twitch in her eye as she paused briefly during her concert on Sunday night while she was performing as part of her Play Las Vegas residency.
Her left eye started to close on its own as the celebrity posed in her garment made of soda cans and pop tabs, forcing the singer to attempt to mend it as her right eye continued to blink.
Make much more noise for my band, Katy Perry commands the audience in a clip of the incident that was recorded by a fan page for the singer. Perry maintains her calm throughout the exchange.
Perry utilised the occasion to advertise additional forthcoming Play performances at Resorts World Theatre in 2023 days later, laughing off the situation.
"Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come witness my shattered doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year!" she said in the caption of one of her subsequent Instagram posts.
The Grammy-nominated singer went on to explain what to anticipate from the audience, saying, "The set selection is a pleasant trip down memory lane going all the way back to 2008, a time when we weren't all paralysed by the paranoia of our own echo chambers! "
Addition Perry "This show is a never-ending celebration about discovering unconditional love, and oddly (for me) it's not at all political. Heck, I even pour beer out of my tits as a party trick. I'm not really lactating, you dumb goose!" ? In 2023, I hope to join you in song! And since we're all "chained to the algorithm," which is "thereal problem," we'll drink; this one is on me."
The 2023 leg begins on February 15 and concludes on April 15 and includes 14 performances. Perry's residence officially started in December 2021.
At the time, Perry teased her performance on Good Morning America, stating that it will have a stage with a pink and yellow checkerboard pattern, a gigantic rubber duck, a gigantic toilet, and a plunger that is larger than life.
As she put it, "A lot of my shows have been metaphorically larger than life, but in this show I play a doll, so everything is like, three times the size of me." "It's Pee-Playhouse wee's crossed with Honey I Shrunk the Kids, but we were aware of our target market. People are come to enjoy themselves and let free."
On November 4 at 10 a.m. PT, tickets for Perry's 2023 Play dates go on sale.
